Shortly after arriving in Hawaii, I moved into a little 'treehouse' nestled deep in the Wailupe valley. In constant awe of my new surroundings, I started creating with any medium I could get my hands on. After some time, I decided to start my own art business focusing on the little details that make up my days.
The Art of the Sun Print
Cyanotypes, also known as Sun Prints, are one of the oldest photographic techniques dating back to the 1800s. This process uses a combination of two non-toxic chemicals (ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide) that create a vibrant cyan-colored print when mixed together and exposed under light.
With much inspiration from island life and botanicals, each piece holds a story that I am so pleased to share with you.
